Alex doesn't mind the stink much, simply regarding it as additional sensory output, neither pleasant nor unpleasant. They are, however, smells that he doesn't recognize, and he rubbernecks a little bit as he looks around at the various businesses and other buildings. It's a lot noisier than he's used to, certainly closer to the tavern at least.
