The lieutenant will leave it to Felix to sort that particular mess out with his husband. He's certainly not going to make excuses for choosing to help a friend, although he might admit if pushed that he can see why Jim ended up so worried to begin with now.

At least the people who do have an idea of what dangers Felix is facing are in the know, even if it's probably reopened some old wounds. They'll make sure Felix is alright.
